Oh and can a computer be shut down like mine is by the southbridge being hot? My southbridge gets pretty darn warm.
This would be the cause for your shutdowns - the northbridge needs the fan in order to be stable and allow this motherboard to function correctly. I would contact the supplier/e-tailer of the motherboard and tell them the northbridge fan has died.

Alternatively, drop me a PM and I can get one mailed to you.

you dont need to adjust the bios just when o/c but get your comp stable first. put the vdimm up from 2.6V to 2.8V.also make sure you manually set the timings to their default values(should say on RAM specs) as cant trust motherboard SPD to set automatically.

just as well ive got an nf7-s as my 2nd rig then eh?

ok for the timings they should be written either on your DIMMS or you will find them on manufacturer website.

say they are 2.5-3-3-11 which is fairly average timings.
ok go to Advanced Chipset Features in the BIOS

    Change memory timings to Expert.
Row active delay set to 11
RAS to CAS delay set to 3
Row precharge delay set to 3
CAS Latency Time set to 2.5

    Also disable System BIOS Cacheable

For the Vdimm voltage go to
    CPU Setup SOFT MENU III

Change Power Supply Controller to User Define

Then change DDR SDRAM Voltage to 2.9V.

Press F10 to save and exit then hopefully the mem will at least be more stable.

Ohhh stupid me... I just remembered a question I wanted to ask. I dont have any doubts it could be the motherboard but why would it give me errors saying its my "Central Processing Unit" or however it states, sometimes right after I turn my computer on after the random shut offs?

Ok well guys... Problem is found! It IS the motherboard, the southbridge chip(one with its own fan on NF7-S boards) wont even work now. I tryed giving it a little tap, giving it some dust rehab lol. Well now I know what I need. Just two questions, 1. Why did it say it was my CPU's fault? 2. Should I just return the mobo and get the same one?

Thanks for all the help guys!
