    Question CD-Drive Problems

Today my mate was on his pc happy as larry n everything was working fine he turned his pc off but left the CD drive open, the drive closed (automatically) and pc turned off. He then went goes downstairs does some work then comes back up turns his pc and tries to remove the disc that hed left in the CD drive but it wont open so he called me round and i had a lil look.
It seems that when the PC turned off it has locked or blocked the drive off completly, its not being picked up by the pc as its not In My Computer but the green lcd on the front of the drive is flashing, i also checked the connections inside and they seem to be fine too so i dont have a clue whats up with it.

    Any help would be great!!!
    thanx all

I found that a paper clip does that just fine and dandy !

Another way is to hold the eject button for a few seconds when you turn the PC on and in most cases the drive will eject the disc as long as its getting power (you say the green light is on so it will be)
