Changign CPU resulted in lower 3dmark03 score
Just changed out my 3.2ghz p4 for a 3.4ghz prescott, oce'd to 3.6ghz with ram @ 1:1 then ran 3dmark of and get a max of 11,150.. before I changed processor I was getting 13,950 average.. sometimes over 14k.
Specs..
3.2ghz p4 @ 3.4ghz (before change)
Now 3.4ghz prescott @ 3.6ghz
XFX 6800 Ultra (AGP)
512mb Corsair XMS 3200 LL Pro
Don't see how jsut changing the cpu can cause this

Note.. my cpu score before hand was 760 and now it's 890.
Clear cmos? is all i can think of, maybe re-insatll windows, thats all i can think of.

Ok, been busy all this time since last post trying to figure it out. I'm managed to do it by uninstalling my graphics card and then reinstalling it, I'm now up to 14,980 3dmark03
Though I did change cpu around about 4 times, change from raid to ide, change psu and god knows what else to solve the problem
Got a 1k cpu mark too now
Also the 3.4 cpu will have a higher multiplier than the 3.2, so if the 3.2 was overclocked aswell, you may well have been running at higher FSBs with it. Have you checked your ram timings?
Have you tried re installing the motherboard drivers since you put the new chip in, sometimes helps.
I'm at 3.8ghz, 920 fsb, ram at 210mhz and at 1:1
Starting to think it's somethign else.. possibly the coolbits2.reg? I benchmarked at about 14,700 on 3dmark03.. thought all was fine and blah di blah. Next day decided to benchmark again and it's hit back to 11k.. quite a big drop for no apparant reason. Anyone else had this problem or know what could be causing it? I've since reinstalled my card and the coolbits2.reg and now back up to exactly 14,700 but how long it will last I don't know.

Thing is, before I changed the cpu over I was getting consistent scores. I'll go give 3dmark05 a shot and see if that drops when the 3dmark03 score drops.
Make sure that when you OC the card, you check the 'Apply these settings at startup' button otherwise when you reboot, it's back to default
