I have recently aquired a Dell Latitude CPi D266XT laptop (266MHz, 64MB ram, etc) and I'm running Windows 2000 on it. It all works fine (Got some more ram on the way) except the sound. At first the driver wasn't working properly because "there were not enough free resources". Now I juggled around with DMA and IRQs a bit, it all is aparently working properly according to device manager.
But it's not. It's still silent. Playing a sound through the control panel > Sounds doesn't yeild anything, and playing music through Media Player doesn't work either. It just seems to kinda lock up Media Player and not produce anything. I get no sound at all
Any ideas? I'm guessing it's still a resource issue?
Thanks
