DVD display problem

DVD production with Nero 6

Hi everyone

I am happy to have found this site and to have joined up. I hope to be able to provide help but not surprisingly - start with a plea for help.

I edit using Premiere 6.0 and Pinnacle Pro-One. Because of previous problems I use Nero 6 to produce DVDs. However, importing a wide screen AVI file into Nero and setting all options for wide screen produces only a 4:3 result and I know that my TV displays wide screen DVDs produced on my PC. I have contacted Nero several time without joy and am at my wits end.

Any ideas?
