    Graphics Card Advice/Help!!

Hi guys...i just need a little help with installing my new graphics card as i dont know what exactly to do but ill explain.

I just bought a graphics to replace my GeForce Mx-440 SE 64mb. The new card is AGP 8x as is the mx-440, so they are both agp 8x. The thing which i am confused about is that my motherboard has a fan on it that has a Gigabyte AGP 8x sticker on it and i assume its associated with the graphics card. Anyways my new card has a fan on it, so my question is what do with the fan on the motherboard?? Is it actually associated with my current card???

I would appreciate any advice...thanx guys!!

Is you motherboard a Gigabyte board by any chance? If so this is probably just some advertising for the features of your motherboard.

What size is the fan? My guess is that it's a required chipset fan (probably about 1" square or so).

Yes it's a chipset fan to keep the chipset cool (which controls the drives, memory, cpu, etc.). Don't disconnect it as your board might overheat and get damaged.
