    Re: Date style vegetarian meal?

Eggs are farm-aborted baby chicken foetuses! She's not much of a vegetarian if she eats em too (baby chicken = yolk, placenta/womb = white+shell)

PS: potatoes are potato plant eggs. They're living, they even have tentacles like an octopus if you let em live a bit.
Whatever you eat, you're killing something. It's just easier for humans to relate to animals because they have a face and look more similar to us and operate on the same time-scale (I remember reading an interesting thing on how kittens provoke the paternal/maternal instinct in people because the face is so similar to a baby human's)

    lol yuck...

I used to get food poisoning at least once a year, and puke a lot because of meat...

I'm sure you guys get sick a lot, but attribute it to drinking...

I have never gotten sick since being a vegetarian (for over a year), except one time that I mixed red wine and a few pints of Guinness...

    Very true!

But it does depend on why they are a vegetarian. By brother is a vegie, but thats just because he is a weirdo and doesn't really like meat. Doesn't like eggs on their own, but no problem with them when used as an igredient. He also eats fish, because he likes that.

    Like I said, weirdo.

Of course, 'different strokes for different folks'.

I used to eat fish, but to be honest I don't miss it, the smell puts me off, and I'm also one of those vegetarians who doesn't like killing stuff... I make an exception for eggs mainly because my sister-in-law would come by to visit often and leave eggs in the fridge, so rather than let them go to waste...

    A cynical view Rob.. tut.

I don't drink but don't get ill with meat particularly.. I don't really get ill actually.

This thread has taken a turn for the worst.. it should have stayed in the gutter.

    lol

It's scientifically true that meat rots inside of us, it causes all sorts of problems.

We've forced ourselves to adapt, however, over thousands of years of eating it...

That's why we cook the meat until it's well done... If you eat bloody-raw meat every day you're going to have serious issues.

I haven't been ill for at least the last 2 years - it sounds like you might have some kind of digestive system condition, either that or just ate a lot of crap (as the guinness drinking might indicate )! Pork is the most unhealthy one, when you learn about the stuff they eat it's not so appetising - I tend to go for beef sausages when I do Oh and I mostly cook myself rather than processed crap. There was a really good program on BBC recently about food where they hunted out how things like sausages were made, it's basically all the gristle and waste that the butchers don't want generally - mechanically recovered meat, looks like pink s* coming out the machine.

Yeah, another reason why I'm not pleased with meat... it's just disgusting how they do it...

But how pleasant can killing an animal and eating its flesh be anyways? LOL

    owned. haha jk...

Ah yes.. Lips and stinkholes as we used to say (but used the proper word for, not stink..). If it's not a cut you must always question where it has come from lol

I don't actually eat pork anymore, stopped years ago. I will occasionally have bacon though, bought from local produce lol

No, that's the thing, a lot of it isn't, the stuff that isn't "did" and is just unadulterated goodness. Eating meat once a week or so is perfectly healthy.

Again, this comes back to my previous point. Whichever way you go, you're killing something to live. You're not able to live off sunlight or chemicals in the air, and a lot of animals are about as intelligent as plants, it's just the emotive anthropomorphising factor.

    anyways? LOL

I clicked your profile then wondering what your age was, expecting to see something like 12, I was surprised when it doesn't mention but says you have a wife so can't be too young - weird.

Have quite a good selection you can refine quite quickly to a specific type.

Nah, just the particular thing you said - reminded me of insecure emo kids online who are always going on about how much they "own" everyone else
