Re: News - Poll: Do you use HDTV for gaming?

Got myself a 24" 1920x1200 monitor a year ago now and I've been using it for PC gaming.

I don't have a 360/PS3 yet but I made sure I got a monitor that I could plug them into, and having used a mate's 360 with it once I'm glad I did, cos it looked gorgeous

I use the 32" HDTV in the spare room for my PS3. The 37" HDTV in the lounge is just for the HTPC, no gaming.

22" Samsung monitor is used for PC gaming purposes. Which is hardly ever since getting a PS3 last year!

Still use 1280*1024 - 17" CRT - works for me!

Re: News - Poll: Do you use HDTV for gaming?

I'm now using a 40" Samsung for both xbox 360 and PC gaming @ 1920 x 1080 and it's damn right sexy at times. Can you imagine what Starcraft 2 will look like on this display

If I need to use other resolutions on the PC, I drop back and use my CRT which does upto 1600 x 1200 with no issues at all.

I get the feeling you won't rest until it's done - HDTV is so 2008.

How about a poll about how long people think the poll will stay on the front page for?

Re: News - Poll: Do you use HDTV for gaming?

Have to say I am still love having a 42" Plasma in my living room. It's 720p, but so are most console games and TV is 1080i at best.

Irony is I was using it with my PSP last night with a wee 28" box in the center of the screen on a 480P. Still made a change from getting eye strain playing VC2.

It's still the Latest Poll on Hexus.gaming. Not sure how many times I've answered it now.
My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

0iD: Plus weeing in it every now & again does it good
scaryjim: 10" is just a little large to hold comfortably in one hand, which makes it a lot harder to tap, swipe and generally interact with.

Re: News - Poll: Do you use HDTV for gaming?

This poll is still on the Hexus Gaming channel, so this isn't really threadurrection. (Honest.)

I'm the same as you. I feel FPS is the best genre for 125" (or 108" in my case), but I still prefer my 24" monitor for all gaming genres. I don't feel my projector (Optoma HD700x) matches the quality of my monitor, especially in daylight hours.

BTW, Beserker: I like that you put a double-space at the end of sentences. I've always wanted to do it, but never had the courage to do it. (My job requires that I use correct/conventional English. )

In answer to the Poll's question, I don't have a TV/HDTV. I use a DVB/TV card for my PC. My PC is my gaming machine and it is also my HDTV/television.

It is also my Internet machine, which enables me to respond to aging threads. TTFN.

Sure does, I'm currently playing all games on a 42" TV at 1080p and it rocks. But... I be switching to Eyefinity at 1920x1200 x3 soon. Going to miss the large screen.

No 'No, I have a HDMI monitor' option, either.
