I was one of those.
Bargain price of £100.

I wanted a PS3 and Christmas seemed like the time, but now why bother.
Apparently the price may slide to £100 sooner rather than later...its $183 in Japan at the moment!

Now that would be anther blow the the PS3! Especially if the rumoured new 360 designs come flying out of the traps at good prices and the hard drive comparison is ended by a proper pricing policy.
I think it was a great play my Microsoft and finally releasing the console early is paying off in terms of manufacturing cost. (at the expense of RROD I know )

The issues that still put me off are;
- Noise
- RROD
- Expense of buying MS branded 360 HDDs
- Expensive wifi adapter and plug and charge thingy for controllers
- Beige colour on cheaper models

I may still buy one, but they need to address at least most of the above issues first.

If you are in no rush, wait for another price drop and/or bundle deal on an elite

-RROD- Maybe Jasper will have hit by then
-There are some bundles with the stupidly priced MS dongle

its tempting indeed but if you was to go through what i did with my 360. i would get a ps3 or wii even if it was £1000 tbh

its no fun when your console doesnt/stops working :S

but besides that, the 360 is a great console. im still holding on to mine dispite the fact i hardly turn it on now.

Have to say I am mighty mighty tempted these days. Especially with GOW2... I'd rather play those kind of games on the PC, but since that's gradually turning into casualville I might have to go to the white side.

Ah, it may well be. I am not sure to be honest. There may still be be a backlog of Falcon systems around though.

Game and Gamestation will probably do some tempting bundles when GoW2 hits the shelves.

get one the newer models should still last u ages even if it isnt a jasper, the white looks good i like it anyway the bits and bobs that u need to get with it though are overpriced i do agree.

i still got an original console working, am i the only hexite?

I am a hexite 360 owner (shared till I bought one myself) with an original XBOX 360 and it works perfectly.
No issues.

I have heard nothing about Jasper actually being put into any consoles, has it happened already?

Trusted reviews are adamant they are already in consoles manufactured after Aug 6 and a lot unit of 8031 or higher.

I thought they had said a firm no to doing Gow2 on the PC. So if you are wanting to play GoW2 it's going to have to be on the xbox.
