Agree, have been playing it all weekend, getting used to control and weapons as well now, love the way you take advantage of cover on your way forward and the action is really frantic. As the reviews say the ai of the Helghast is scarily good.

From some videos I have seen the AI is amazing, but by the looks of things the pictures don't give it justice. If I recall isn't this a long time over schedule?

At least 4 years in development I think. Worth it through

From what I've read and seen, it's a looker, but only 'as good' as things like Gears of War 2 and Crysis, rather than in a league of it's own, looks wise.

And in terms of gameplay, again it's 'as good as' Halo3, etc, rather than miles ahead.

I think when the hype has died down, it will be viewed as a solid FPS game, one of the finest out there at the moment, but it didn't really blow the opposition away.

Only one thing worries me though and that's one reviewer being able to complete it in little over 5 hours.

'as good as Halo 3', is hardly a compliment, no offense but that game sucks the big one.

Also, I have to say being a no-console PC snob, that Killzone 2 is the best looking game I've ever seen.

Halo3 is a fine game, not fantastic, but certainly not terrible. It has the most complete feature set of any FPS game. The Halo3 package is very impressive.

    Good.

Have you seen Gears of War 2 running on a nice HDTV, and Crysis on a decent PC?

If so, is it a step up from those, in your opinion?

i played gears 1 and killzone 2 looks alot better im afriad. has gears 2 improved dramaticly in grpahics? if its just a minor tweak in the sequal then i doubt it looks better then killzone 2.

crysis imo looks abit better then kz2 still though

Indeed, just awesome. I have also got to grip with the controls now as well (my first real fps on a console pad) just needs some practice it seems
