Bet its a fake chinese clone that plays copied PS2 games or similar. (Deal extreme have several handheld consoles that play old mega drive and snes games and I would be surprised if this is in a similar vain)
Also I don't think Sony have got the money to invest in the PS3 at the moment.
Erm, the pics of the "console" don't even match the picture on the "box". I suspect a revised PS3 will appear (and maybe this year or early next, based on PS3 sales!) but I doubt this is it.
Its got to be a fake chineese copy....In fact I would place a £4.20 bet on it lol..as has been pointed out there are so many of these kind of fake consoles available, and it has all the hallmarks (close but not perfect packaging..logo that is similar enough but also just different enough..)
Kind of a mis-leading headline for this story though tbh..as its blatently obvious that its not real..
So, did Hexus get a Cease and Desist notice over this article?
Engadget did

You're late
Ah, bugger. I didn't see the thread, in New Posts, I searched and then quick posted.
Oh well, makes a change from you being late on links
My prediction; it's a knock off 'PS3' much like the Polystation.
The box looks like it was designed in 15 seconds, the plastic body appears to be poorly moulded and then a Chinese company issues a C&D.
