Why would you want one of them over SheevaPlug? Yeah its cheaper but also much less powerful.. Sheeva will run 1.2GHz ARM CPU, 512MB of RAM and Gigabit NIC - plus its all in a case!!

Haven't said that I will get one anyway.

A lot of people here are thinking of using media devices and these do that very well. speed wide a sheevaplug is alot faster but there not really made for media devices. and the rpi is fast enough even for 1080p and only costs £22 where as the shevaplug with a hdmi out costs £132.

I think their website is being hammered. Good luck if anyone gets onto it today and manages to order.

RS Components and Premier Farnell have them apparently. Sorry - will have them in a month.... Limited quantities available today but all sites are experiencing DDOS. Joy - Off to work then.

I think I'll pick one up in a few weeks to tinker with. Have no idea what to do with one (don't need a NAS or media streamer, but the price is low enough for me to buy one purely for tinkering purposes) and I'm in no rush to get one yet either.

Your exactly the sort of person this board is aimed at. You'll tinker. If enough people do that something good will happen. Maybe...

Great, feels like an AMD launch, there's stock somewhere... you just can't get hold of it!
