Farnells price includes the shipping CAT(According to RasPi anyway...)
Would love one of these puppies. Would make things so much more interesting, aah well.. Back to the PIC18F4520 and Motorola 68HC12 dev boards..

Just got a couple of emails, apparently RS are doing a first-come-first-served sale while Farnell are now accepting pre-orders. Farnell do free shipping but it's excluding VAT, not as cheap as it was meant to be but not enough to put me off. Roughly £30 with VAT.
Edit: Just got an email about the order, despite it saying stock in 30 days on the website, 23/04/2012 is the estimated delivery date. Fail. Will just cancel it if that's the case, the next version will probably be out by then.

Just got the email from RS, first come first served, will email in next 7 days to confirm the order, also one per customer.
I ordered through Farnell, estimated delivery date: W/C 30/04/2012
I want it now! (and yes, I'm fine with sounding like a child at christmas)
It does annoy me when people say reselling on ebay "shouldn't be allowed".
How is buying for resale at a profit any different than what every etailer and shop on the planet does ?
Just jealously.
BTW I see two problems/reasons for the Pi's popularity outside its intended education market:
a) Price (competing products cost £100+)
b) inclusion of GPU/HDMI - without that you wouldn't have the millions wanting it for a cheap media player.
Either way, its a great product.
