NONE as they are vastly over priced when you can get a Mere midrange card that will do the same only slightly slower
with fury (not X) at 10-12 % faster than 980 there seems to be a gap for Nvidia so I'm thinking would Nvidia make a more cut 980 ti like with 2500 stream processors to fill the gap call it the 980 ultra
i'll choose GTX 980 b'cos the price is slightly dropped around $500 mark!
I use Linux. No matter much much I might like the AMD's offers, I'll get a Nvidia. Drivers is the 2nd half of any GPU after all and AMD frankly is too poor on Linux.
I'm on a Radeon 7970 ghz at the moment so all the latesest cards make me drool. The AMD 390x line does look great in the price/perf table so would get my cash right now if I were buying. hope to do my big update in the new year so will wait for then as so much can change.
i dislike nvidia's business practices so I guess it'll be another AMD
I'd probably choose a GTX 980 Strix or 980 Ti Strix.
At the moment, I'd probs go nVidia due to them being slightly cheaper than AMD equivalents (never thought that'd happen), drivers have been better from team green recently, and AMD Furies seem to do better at higher resolution and I'm still on 1080p. If drivers get better from AMD and I had a 4k (or even 1440p) monitor then I'd probs go back to AMD
As my tax refund has just come through, I chose the GTX 980. It was a tough call between the GTX 980 and the slightly cheaper but similarly performing 390X.
My decision was swayed towards the considerably better efficiency of the GTX 980.
The £30 difference would quickly be returned once I start folding come the Winter. I guess the 390X would be a better room heater but I also plan on silently watercooling the lot, less heat = less noise.
If I had the need I would go for a fury X and a full water cooling block to make it a very neat single slot package.
None. I can no longer justify spending that amount of money on a single component. The higher end cards prices are just ataking the mick. I would wait until they come up cheap on another forums members market and pick up a GTX980 or maybe a 980ti from there.
As a non gamer am not in the market for one of these cards. I have always found Nvidia cards to be decidley flakey whereas AMD cards have always 'just worked' so i would stick with AMD.
None of the above. Still waiting on next generation before I consider upgrading my AMD Radeon HD 6950 (unlocked, customer cooler).
