You jest, but the bulk of intellectual work on liberty came from British economists, and philosophers. America was pretty much founded around much of that work. They just had the good sense to have a formal constitution which tempers the ambitions of career politicians.

A lot of American ideas came from the french. And that fixed constitution enshrines things like rifles being fine to own because 300 years ago they needed muskets in case of invasion.

By the very nature of psychologists, counsellors and therapists, it's a medical profession run by Big Pharma and so is designed around making big bucks.
