    Ice cream sauce

So lets set the scene... you have too many raspberries growing in the garden and nothing to do with them (), what do you do? you can't just let them rot, but raspberry crumble gets boring after many days nonstop

So i devised a plan, lets mush some up...

So i grabbed a slack handful, chucked them in a ramekin mushed them up with a fork, and it was a bit lumpy to say the least, so i added a little bit of water to thin it down a little bit, and half a teaspoon of sugar, forked it again (), and it looked a little boring, so i grabbed some Jagermeister, added a liberal helping (not too much that you cover the raspberry sharpness), forked it again, and it was still lumpy, so i grabbed a hand blender, blended it for a few minutes and came out with a nice thick sauce... now i had no idea what to do with the sauce, so i grabbed some ice cream (vanilla) and drizzled the sauce on top.

And it was DEVINE , Thick enough to stay on the icecream but not too thick as to be a globule, a lovely kick from the raspberries with a nice herby aftertaste.

Just raspberries and icing sugar whizzed works very well. It also freezes nicely for use in those times of the year when you wish you had raspberries!

    Re: Ice cream sauce

As a child I always had brambles blended and added to ice cream, turns it a great red colour, and tastes gorgeous especially because it adds a bit of sharpness to the ice cream.
