I bought about 5 bags of these, but what I hate is the bits that stick in your teeth after you've munched on a few
What do they do to those chocoalte coffee beans to make them taste so nice. Apart from put chocolate on them of course .
I mean whole roast coffee beans on their own are pretty heavy going
Instant - Teaspoon of Carte Noir, plus six teaspoons of sugar into a metal WW2 US Army canteen cup (holds a full pint), fill hot water to top rivet, stir and top with cold water. No milk.
Espresso (not eXpresso, as both you and my wife insist on calling it) - Old style Italian pot on hob. I take it black with 1.5 sugars. Wife likes Macchiato.
Guests get it however they request, with a cafetierre available for those that like it.
Depending on the coffee I will generally use either my bean to cup drip (which can also be used as a normal drip if you turn off the hopper/grinder) or my CafetiƩre.
I have an Aeropress on the way for those 'barista style' coffees.
Don't touch instant unless the situation is dire
Are you guys Serious?
How did you ever find an 11 year old thread on coffee?

I just clicked on New Posts, like I always do.
Fairly sure that's what I did but my post must have gotten pruned. It does make me happy to see that a thread about coffee is most likely the longest running thread here tho.
Lazarus (what an add-on!) tells me that I posted:
"Well that's some thread revival.
Aeropress for me."
So yeah, Aeropress, or to be more correct inverted Aeropress.
Think its something like this :-

Exactly, supposedly it minimizes the time the coffee touches the filter paper. Don't know if it makes that much of a difference, but I now have a method that seems to reliably give good coffee. My timings are slightly different, but you can play around till you get it the way you like. I tend to only pour a little water in first, just enough to barely moisten the grinds and I give it a good mix and leave for a while. I saw a guy doing that when I was in Tokyo, he made the best coffee.
