And this was a thread revival from 2004 - again the reviving post has been deleted for spamvertising, but I guess it shows the enduring...'strength' of coffee!

I saw this advertised on Reddit: Pact Coffees
At 6.95 for 250g, it's expensive...so I didn't buy after signing up. But the coffees on offer do look good (I'm a Tea man, and only drink the occasional specialty coffee)
There are quite a few companies that do a 'coffee club subscription' in the UK, I've not tried one yet but been tempted.

Just ordered 1Kg of Rave coffee signature blend (Ā£16 delivered), decided on 1Kg as I need to setup a grinder and Gaggia Classic espresso machine. Just need to finish putting the Gaggia together, hopefully the parts I need will turn up tomorrow.
OFTEN ? xd
I like the decaf jar types. Or I pop into starbucks for 1.55 for 2 servings ).

Be Careful on the Internet! I ran and tackled a drive by mining attack today. It's not designed to do anything than provide fake texts (say!)
At work, it's a reasonable quality instant (currently Douwe Egberts Pure Indulgence Dark Road in a 190g jar), one teaspoon, then filled to the top with boiling water. None of this milk and sugar nonsense.
At home, it's a Cuisinart Grind and Brew bean-to-pot filter machine. Nothing quite like it
Bean-to-cup machine. Strongest it does, using hasbean beans, cup size set to about 2/3rds (gives just under half a pint of coffee - consumes a lot of beans though!)....then use the wand to froth up the milk in my metal jug with "optimal froth thermometer"....sprinkle of hot chocolate powder on the top....all served in a pint glass and when done right appears to have a large head!
Yummy!

I only recently started using a Areopress and at first I wasn't 100% on it over a drip but then switched to using the inverted method (http://blog.pactcoffee.com/2014/01/0...brewing-guide/) but fill it upto the top with water and leave it 2ish minutes (video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQ8wvUKa35E)
Love it, now take my Areopress everywhere!

Yep I feel well ill now, definitely too much caffeine today!
I havent really used the over cup drip enough to compare, but its different enough to my bean to cup drip machine for me to be pleased with the purchase.
Havent tried the inverted method yet, I wanted to try normal before I went for anything different so that I had a decent point of reference... will try it tomorrow.
