    Re: What type of Ram

buy cosair bengeance, the best bang per buck. 8GB or the 16GB. Also buy it from SCAN.CO.UK . They are partners and offer lifetime warranty on the parts.

    Re: What type of Ram

Depends on the model, mushkin stuff is great too.

Not sure what the mushkin UK warranty is like.

Corsair Vengeance is good stuff as long as you don't want to overclock it, quite a few reports of Zero overclocking on Vengeance (that's not system overclocking, just ram overclocking) on both the mhz and tighter cas
That's not to say it's bad because it's not, just badly marketed.

I get the cheapest branded RAM. Anything else is a waste of money.

    Re: What type of Ram

I have both brands of ram, both good quality stuff. I'd probably pick which is easiest to rma just in case.

    Re: What type of Ram

Having never heard of Mushkin before this (and thus obviously not having bought any of their RAM), I'd have to say Corsair by default.

Kingston if it was an option, A guy who worked for Aria said they get loads of Mushkin back for RMA, and i have been seeing loads of dead Corsair XMS recently. Kingston just keeps on going

This. Unless you plan to overclock it, you're wasting your money buying 'Super Hyper-XXXXtreme Turbo-Scale' RAM. It all does the same thing and, at the same clocks, it will have exactly the same performance.

    Get some of this: http://www.ebuyer.com/291000-crucial...-rm51264ba1339

I love corsair products because they seem to have a high build quality and there RMA is very good, i would recommend corsair personally.

    Re: What type of Ram

I've always opted for Corsair, never overclock too much but the build quality and customer service is always top standard imo, if your not overclocking then go with the cheapest ram you can find (fastest speeds your mobo can support, PC3-10600 etc)

    Re: What type of Ram

Corsair don't make their own PSUs, they're may be others now but most are made by CWT and SeaSonic (who also make some for Antec). Also, the new builder series (at least the first revision) aren't terribly good - just a relatively cheaply made PSU sold under a trusted name.

huh? The thread is about RAM not PSU's... Anyway... I've honestly never heard of Mushkin before now, so for the brand and the reputation they've built up, i'd go for Corsair.

    Re: What type of Ram

    oops sorry about that.

I had a thread about PSUs open at the same time and thought the post was in there. I think Mushkin is more popular in the US.
