Hi all,
Sorry I was actually off yesterday and only had limited time to check for posts.
I've checked this morning to find that the CPU's are due in today so the best I can offer at this point is to keep checking with them and when they arrive let you know.
Davey
As todays nearly over
Have the CPU chips arrived ?
I was lead to believe my PC would dispatch today!
.
Just got off the phone to Mesh Sales, so to answer my own Question "NOT YET"
Saying a part hasn't arrived yet is fair enough but it needs to be backed up with answers to the following:-
Have the chips been dispatched from the supplier?
Do you have the tracking number of the shipment?
Asuming you do have tracking number or Airway Bill, where are the chips and whats the ETA?
Just hoping they may turn up is not very helpfull I know I have worked in the electronics industry for many years and I also have enough business sence to have the full story when I talk to my customers.
Please do your best.
Hi Pressure,
The delivery has arrived, albeit a short while ago and a lot less than we were expecting.
There appears to be a shortage so we are told and we have received an alloted amount. We are due a second delivery later this week, possibly even a third just before the week's end.
The upshot of this is that we will fulfill only a part of the orders currently waiting for the CPU's.
The thing is that I cannot guarantee that any of the people here will be in the first batch as to be fair the CPU's are being fitted on a first come first served basis.
I will know more details regarding what is going out and what is not tomorrow afternoon and again will let you know as best I can.
Davey
Thanks for the update Davey
I will be calling tomorow for an update.
any news on systems going out systems not going out?
Andy
I can update you a bit.
My Salesman did not phone me back as promised yesterday and didn't phone this morning I had to phone him.
"I" informed the salesman that the cpu chips were in !!!
I have been told that I will receive one of the CPU's but they now have a problem configuring the RAM.
The RAM issue concerns me they must have done it before advertising this system for sale surely!
I am now waiting on a call back from the salesman to see what the latest is.
i'm expecting my PC to dispatch today or i'm going to be even more unhappy.
I really wanted to report on a good sales transaction and a good system, but my confidence is going down daily. I think if I dont get my PC this week i'm very likely to cancel, they have my money and can't seem to deliver the goods in a reasonable time.
Davey Please sort them out you seem to be the only person that knows how to deal with customers and get things sorted.

Hi all,
I am still waiting for information regarding these systems at the moment. As soon as I have the information I will let you know.
Davey

ARRGGHHHH!!! Now that's better!Originally Posted by Pressure
Just has a polite call from Mesh and yes you guessed it my PC will now most likely not be despatched until next week (Monday at a guess).
"We are experiencing stability issues with the machines that have been built with the new CPUs and the 800 Memory. We are waiting for a resolution from ASUS which may be a BIOS update or a recommendation to change the memory".
We'll if this is true then I'm glad to have received the call today (as tomorrow was the new delivery date I was given last week). And if the explanation is honest (please excuse my cynicism) and not a diversion from the stock issue I'd rather have a stable PC shipped although you'd think the Mesh R&D team should have solved these issues before advertising the finished / configured product for sale
Davey - why are they not telling you what is happening here?
I do hope this slope is not more slippery .....
Mesh called, i didnt take the calll tho, but now they expect to deliver the pc on wednesday because of these memory problems. Conroe systems will probably be advertised very soon as these chips ship 24th july. I must admitt i am considering maybe waiting little longer till mesh advertise conroe systems and get 1 of them. I just get a bad feeling about this gx2 system because of the problems . I hope i am wrong, but i have to agree with danny that i much rather have a stable/reliable and properly built pc, Like my previous mesh pc. so well done to admitting/recognising a problem.
Least your sales guy called you and had some info, I wasn't told about the posible BIOS update.Originally Posted by dannyp

It clearly states in the Asus Motherboard manual what manufactures RAM works and how to configure it. If they can't resolve this issue then it just puts more doubt on their capabilities. This motherboard, CPU & Ram combination has been reviewed and tested many times by others (check the web)
The fact I had to tell the salesman who was asked to find out about the CPU's that they had arrived is just crazy.
I'm just not confident about the whole thing, I'm thinking, if I dont get my PC this week I will cancel.
Right calmed down a bit now
And diceded to do something positive..
Did some google searches about Asus M2N32 and 800Mhz ram problems
Here are some people that have had problems and found fixes PLEASE PASS TO YOUR ENGINEERS in Edinbourgh
http://www.bleedinedge.com/forum/sho...d.php?p=176852
Answer to this one was was:-
set the Asus Bios was the Clock Skew to advance 300 for it to work
http://www.nforcershq.com/forum/1-vt66348.html?start=0
People saying to use the Asus version 0404 bios (no longer on the Asus site though)
lattest Bios seems to be 0601
http://www.bleedinedge.com/forum/sho...d.php?p=175005
Set the AI Clock skew to 300ps Advanced on Both channels and everything should be fine.
Seems its a bit like overclocking RAM you need latency/skew and voltage settings to be correct. Got any overclocker enthusiasts in Edinburgh site?
This is the list of approved RAM from the manual. (pairs should be installed in the same colour sockets)
Also found a link where Someone said
2GB Corsair XMS2 800 Memory, works a treat at for them at 800Mhz 4.4.3.5 T1 =)
Also read that RAm with EPP works best
Hope that helps (google often does )
I hope you have your top people on the problem even if that means hoping on sleezyjet to Edinbourgh! customers are waiting!

the release of conroe has been forwarded to 14th July, you can't really look at Conroe as a full platform for a month though since they have poor motherboards atm (well not poor but not the best IMO, I would defo wait for some NF5 or RD600 based motherboards first...) and support is likely to be sketchy when it is released- bios issues and the sort.
I would just wait for your current systems to be built, I know you have waited long enough already but just give it more time. These issues take time to solve and its better than them delivering it to you and you being annoyed with the stability. Really, you won't be disappointed when you get the system and if you have problems with it at least you know how to use google .
PS Alexxx, its called a 7950!!

Hi all,
To be honest I wasn't aware of the actual details, only that the delay wasn't lifted.
The RAM we are using is on Asus's approved list but it seems there is a problem still. Ironically the system performs exactly to expectations when fitted with the 533 sticks.
We've looking into the matter with Asus and nVidia (who even visited us yesterday to go through things with us).
I don't know what to advise you do to be honest, we have the parts but need to wait on Asus/nVidia for a solution. I'm actually away from mid-day-ish today until next Tuesday and I'll be surprised if the problem is not resolved by my return.
The one thing I know, and despite what others may think, we will not knowingly ship systems with performance issues such as these.
