    Web site security test

    Hello all

About a year ago i remember a website where you could go to test the security settings. Basically would check scan your ports and then give you a report on how safe your set up is. I seem to remember it being on a well known security type site like symantec or mcafee - just cant find it at all now

Anyone know which one i mean, or knows of any other such test out there?

    GRC Shields Up! Test, perhaps?

I've read some articles claiming its not all its cracked up to be however, so I would take what it says with a pinch or two of salt.

Yeah that shields up thing will get a lot of people going on here. There is a thread on this forum if you want to understand why.

A lot of suggestions on best ways of testing your security are on there too.
