    bussiness boardband

I am in "charge" of the IT for a non profit I help out at.

We are thinking of changing our ISP from a local company to something a bit cheaper, and were wondering if there are any recommendations for companies?

We have ADSL Draytek modem and Airport Extreme, so hopefully it would be good if it worked using this equipment if possible. It's to connect 4 computers (Mac and PC). I don't think download limits would be a problem as this is for small office use. Don't really care about the extras either.

I'm looking for a good reliable service rather than just what's the cheapest. Thanks!

Business-wise I'd swear by ID Net. Never a moment's downtime in years.

BT Business Broadband has been nigh on perfect for my firm for almost a year.

    Re: bussiness boardband

I moved from BT business broad band this year after 5 years of excellent Service.
This year their service and the way they manage it has been beyond a joke.

I've moved to zen - my package is probably overkill for your needs, but there are less.

they are uk based, their contacts are uk based and their service has been superb so far.

    Re: bussiness boardband

Another big plus for Zen here, wouldn't recommend anyone else for business broadband. Have primary office browsing on an ADSL Max, and all 20 remote workers on a lighter ADSL package for 21.27 a month. (still 8meg possible tho)

I'd rather pay for quality tho, and some people think 21.27 is expensive for broadband.

I think I will be going with Be for my business broadband.

There £18pm package, which I now have at home, has been pretty reliable, unlimited and comes with a fixed IP if I need it.

    Re: bussiness boardband

If you want good, reliable service, it won't be the cheapest. However if that is what you want, then Zen are excellent, but one of the more expensive providers.

LUMISON are Edinburgh based, have their tech support in Edinburgh and get rock solid when it comes to their ADSL services.
