Sky's new V1 firmware is now available for download
My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

0iD: Plus weeing in it every now & again does it good
scaryjim: 10" is just a little large to hold comfortably in one hand, which makes it a lot harder to tap, swipe and generally interact with.

Its quite a nice stand actually. Just clips onto the bottom.

The best thing about the V2 that i found was that its cold to the touch. All the V1's seemed to get very hot, very quickly.
Oddly enough I took one of the stand 'legs' off my netgear switch and used it to stand the DG834GT upright - ran very nice and cool. Perhaps it's more to do with the V2 being upright rather than the new hardware?

Since both of my V1 routers came with legs I thought it was a standard feature.

yeh asoon as loads of people kept complaining about the netgear v1s s****e sky firmware.
sky practically ditched them in favour of the netgear f@st's, then in turn they were semi ditched and now you get sent a netgear v2, (or a sagem if you don't specifically ask for a netgear, as they probably have backstock)

Re: Sky Broadband White V1 Netgear DG834GT Router Upgrade Rollout Begins

I have a V1 which has just failed, first two lights flashing alternating. I have had drop outs before and usually a quick reboot sorts it. But not this time. Got onto Sky and they said that a firmware had recently happened and asked me to reboot it, which i did to no avail. The router was out of warranty but i managed to blag a new one anway which i am now waiting for. But the technical people were not really that interested and it didn't take much to gat them to send a new one. Up to then I couldnt really fault it, except my laptops internal wireless card (intel) will connect to it but drops out continuosly. So i use a netgear stick which works fine.
Sorry forgot to wee on it, maybe try this tonight
