Ignoring your inability to spell:
IMHO the best ISP's at the minute are:
O2/Be*
Sky (the LLU service, not connect)
wow, 25 posts in a day and a half... all of them one line (except this one, depending on resolution)... someone is after free scan delivery
The conditions state "meaningful contributions" - pity they don't include "no txt spk"

I am dyslexic too mate, so believe me, I know how difficult it can be
We aren't spelling Nazi's around here, its just genuinely hard to read 'txt spk' compared to normal words - even if they are spelt incorrectly
If you use Firefox, it has an excellent spell checker built in which can really help. But like I said, every word doesn't have to be spelt correctly, its just better to attempt to spell it over writing it as a text message
Cheers buddy
I have just moved from Tiscali to Be and I havent looked back. For me its been a great move.If you are not happy with Tiscali there are better ISP's out there.
I would disagree in the strongest possible terms with your mate.
I will agree that BT seem to have pretty solid connections, I get ~3Mbps here, 2km from my Exchange, latency is sometimes a bit high - but I dont do much online gaming, and for browsing it isn't such an issue.
So when it works, yeah its quite good.
When it doesn't, its hell. I've had 2 spells of 1/2 months without being able to be connected for more thatn 5mins at a time - the first time was because my SNR was too low to sustain a reliable sync with the exchange - so I asked to have my rate lowered at the exchange from 2Mbps to 1Mbps, had I spoken to someone in the UK, or someone with a modicum of knowledge then this wouldn't have been an issue, unfortunatley BT outsource customer 'care' to India.
I spent many an hour on the phone, each time having to re-explain my situation and explain that I had alreay tried unplugging my Voyager 205, waiting 5 mins and plugging it back in etc, until I came home from school one day and either the Hardware/Software at the exchnage had worked out my connection was unstable and reduced the bandwidth accordingly, or someone had noted what I'd said and passed it to someone who could help - either way, I had my internet connection back eventually!
The 2nd time, I wasn't sure what was wrong, but the same fiasco ensued, and this time just..started working again, without me changing anything, to this day I still dont know for sure what happened.
But yeah, if you are pretty sure you'll never need their customer care then I'd say go for it, but I dont think you can ever be sure of that - so I'll say no, don't go with BT for your ADSL connection.

I was with Pipex until they were sold to Tiscali. Gotta say things have improved after that, my connection no longer drops out and the stupid traffic shaping Pipex imposed without telling me has gone.
