I'm on Access. Hve been for a few months. Previously, on here and elsewhere, I have sung their praises. I got good speeds.

Since the start of December, the service has gone down the tubes. Steam is all but unusable. Online gaming is a no-no. Various sites totally blocked. Speed on all sites massively reduced.

    I'm leaving.

Plusnet, you say? They're slated in various broadband reviews. I'm inclined to think that it's clueless muppets complaining when "my wireless only works 2 metres away from da rooter", but those on PLusnet, please let me know.

Access is resold BT - it sounds like BT may be oversubscribed now in that exchange.
You will most likely get the same service from any ISP as long as you are just getting resold BT service - you need to go LLU.

Umm.... I wasn't aware O2 sold BT... I thought it was Be.

I can't go LLU. Exchange has not been "unbundled" or whatever. I live in a village.

Unless I'm wrong. POstcode B93. If you can put me right, feel free.

Try Zen Internet. Their customer service is great.

"However, if your telephone exchange has not yet been unbundled, we have to use the BT network to deliver O2 Home Broadband to you. In these cases, the Access package is the only one available."
This is the norm where the exchange hasn't been unbundled & an ISP hasn't installed their own equipment.
& you get to pay more for a worse service ...
