    Bad Sync for Stats?

I don't have much of an idea about how line stats should relate to sync speed.

    ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 8662 kbps 888 kbps
Line Attenuation 28.5 db 12.7 db
Noise Margin 12.2 db 14.3 db

I'm on ADSL2+ and thought that with these stats and being about 1km from the exchange, I would be syncing a lot higher? Or am I totally mistaken? Back on ADSL I always synced at 8128 down and 448 up.

    Re: Bad Sync for Stats?

I was expecting somewhere in the region of 15mb rather than just a 500 kbps increase though.

yes, it is a little slow. Make sure you have your router set to ADSL 2+ it could be trying to sync as ADSL, if that doesn't work call your ISP and ask them to reset your profile

    Re: Bad Sync for Stats?

+1 You should be getting a much higher sync speed than that considering you were 8k+ on ADSL, I'd say 16+Mbps based on that and your line attenuation.

    Re: Bad Sync for Stats?

I'll put in a request to lower my target SNR margin to 6dB

    Re: Bad Sync for Stats?

The Noise Margin seems a bit too high, that's all I would have said. What sync speed was predicted by your ISP?
