O2 LLU - New router not working

Not sure whether someone can help me or provide ideas....I am in fact running out TBH

    Hope someone can help me...

Have been trying to configure my new router TP-Link TD-W8960N on O2 Broadband LLU - NO static IP.

I have read threads on O2 forum + Amazon reviews of people being able to use this router on O2. Somehow it does not want to work on DHCP from O2

But it still does not work.

I have tried 2 different firmware but still no joy.

Basically I am configuring as follows:
    VPI:0
    VCI:101
    IPoE
Automatically get IP via DHCP, automatically get DNS (also tried to manually configure DNS)
Tried to clone O2 Wireless II Box MAC
    Still no joy

I know that it may take a while for the O2 routers to update their ARP tables, so I left it for over 30min and even overnight. Still no joy.

Does anyone have suggestions I can try?

    Help is appreciated

*If I configure the IP manually (the last given via DHCP to O2 wireless router, than the new router works. However my package isnt STATIC IP.

DSL Settings on the new router (factory defaults, haven;t changed anything):
    Modulation
    G.Dmt Enabled ticked
    G.lite Enabled Ticked
    T1.1413 Enabled Ticked
    ADSL2 Enabled Ticked
    AnnexL enabled Ticked
    ADSL2+ Enabled Ticked
    AnnexM enabled UNticked

    Phone line pair
    Inner pair

    Capability
    Bitswap enable Ticked
    SRA Enable UNticked

Silly question, but... you have checked with O2 that they've not set you up on a static connection in error, right?

Haven't formally asked, but on my account, accessed on O2's website says dynamic NO static.

In fact it seems that O2 ties your router's MAC to an IP making it 'static', i.e., a long lasting lease.
