Just wondering how these things work, as ive been told they can help me in a web based game...
It tracks you with IP addresses, so my brother and I cant play at the same time...
So.. uhh.. whats it mean??

You need to find an anonymous HTTP proxy, try googleing for them and you will find sites listing them. Then go to tools and internet options in IE, then lan settings and enter the ip address of the proxy server, and port (80 or 8080).Originally Posted by Applecrusher
You should now be able to play the game at same time as your brother.
A proxy server is a server which mirrors any requests made to it and punts it back out on to the internet
basically when you send game data the data will travel from your PC to the proxy which repeats the request back on to the internet. The recieving server (the game's server) sees the IP address of the proxy not yours. the response will do the same.
request: (you -> proxy, [mirror], proxy -> game server)
response: (game server -> proxy, [mirror], proxy -> you)
To make it work you will need to use two different public proxies, one for each computer.
