    wireless networking prob.

    O.K. slightly long story......
the wifes laptop finally gave up the ghost, and we went out and replaced it with an Avertec amd2.2ghz.
At home we have a BTvoyager2100 wireless network, and the new lappy has inbuilt 11g wireless. Should be easy No?! I cannot get the lappy to see the voyager network, I added the ssid under preffered networks but when I click refresh configure remains greyed out and the machine still does not see it as an available network, but if I re-install the voyger card and software it works no probs. Anybody any idea what I am doing wrong or what I am missing out?

O.K. finally worked it out... lappy has a switch to turn the wireless on..Doh!.. and the bt software wouldn't allow me to access the m/s WZC to reset it. Uninstalled the bt software (and turned the switch on!) and now it works!
