help, internet not working

HI,
i recently built a pc with kv8 pro motherboard(purchased thorugh scan). But i seem to have some problems with it. I can't ping google.co.uk!!!!!!. The error it says can't find host name. Now that means internet not working but my sister's pc on the same interent (through a router) works perfectly and pings google as well. I think it is somethign wrong with the network controller.
Please help.

looks liek i can access all the website from anotehr username in windows but not from mine. What shall i do?

Speedy, I've made some suggestions in your duplicate post in the Scan forum. Don't know how relevant it's gonna be given your last post in this thread, though.

Hexus.Connectivity may have been a better place..
