Join domain without connecting to it

I have a french colleague over from our france office, he is IT illiterate and whilst here, needs to be connected to our domain, but once home needs to be connected to the fr domain.

is there a way for me to setup his fr domain prior to him leaving so that when he gets home he can connect without issues?

trying to connect to the domain now results in "unavailable to join/find network domain" it doesnt help having a french version of windows to.

    Annuler!

    Lol.

The only thing I can think of (without testing) is to make a network CD using the XP wizrd on his machine, create it as a CD.

Set his machine to your settings, then before he goes pop the CD back in and restore his original settings.

Not if you have removed the original information...

You know you could just install the language pack to make it english?

IIRC it keeps your current settings through the wizard, or just copy the settings from anotehr machine

i know what the settings should be, domain.fr i know the key and password etc, but it wont join cos it cant see it.

i have access to a french guys pc who has the .fr domain settings, i could copy them, but dont know how... without opening them and reconfiguring - which i couldnt do because if i tried to hit apply it would say cannot find .fr domain...

i just need to be able to create a network disc by hitting a button.

What domain resources does he need to access?

If its just a share, why not simply map a drive to it using alternative logon credentials?

You can use domain shares by using the following username/password format
    User: <domain>\<username>
    Passsword: <password>

where domain is the name of your domain, username is a user in your domain and password is that users password. This should work for all printers too, and outlook.
