Do you have full DNS control with 123.reg? If so could you not just setup an A record pointing to you Demon webspace?

No, you can point at an IP with DNS but not a URL (acronym overload!). The only ways I know to do it are to either use domain cloaking (as currently used) or to get Demon to set up a virtual domain on the server (unlikely to happen but they always had stellar customer service so I suppose it's possible).

yeah I realised that after a quick shufty at 123's pages... The domain cloaking looks to be a tad basic.

Anyways - do as Mr DVS says and have Demon set stuffs up for you. It'll be alright on the night.

Not heard of Low Cost Names UK before

We've used 123-Reg for quite a few domains we've purchased for customers and 123 have been great, we had a major problem with our own domain with the tag, and 123 helped us to get it sorted and transferred over.

We can highly recommend them...

I've heard of Low Cost Names and they don't seem that low cost IMHO...

Well, I received a reply from Demon.

In short "It is against your terms and conditions with us to setup a web redirection to your Demon webspace if the 'demon.co.uk' URL is hidden".
They then went on to peddle their wares in hosting - yadda yadda. So, looks like a cheap host is in order, rather than Demons £10 per month rip-off.
