Same as the others, normally beet everybody to spawn

WOuld have gone Telewest, but they are a bunch of rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishrubbish and only offer dialup around here. Even if you have cable TV no broadband, and the only subscription package they offer is AOL NICEEEEE

I vote for Nildram as well - very good with no problems so far since my local exchange was enabled in 2004 (after a lot of campaigning )

Zen are uncapped, but you pay a premium for it, expect to pay a good few £ more than plus net for uncapped broadband.

no idea about Zen going to 8mbit. I would imagine so if they want to stay compretative with the headline grabbers. The only reason they stick in my head is they have been around for *years* (i remember they got great reviews for their 56k speeds) and ADSLGuide speek about them quite a bit.

It's ok for these companies to offer 8mb connection but if your BT exchange doesn't support it you won't get it, we have a 1mb connection with Nildram, meant to be 2mb but won't get it until BT upgrade the exchange

I've upgraded my connection with Freedom 2 Surf from 2mb to MAX which is supposedly anything up to 8mb, I only get 4mb and it seems a lot more unrealiable than it was. Customer service atr F2S has really gone downhill over the last few months. I will probably look to change when my 12 months is up, another 9 or 10 to go yet though.

this looks good https://www.bethere.co.uk/homebroadband.do when i finish the contract with bulldog i might go with them!

Be have made significant progress on their support.
I spent 2 months trying to get a service with them, during which time their support response times, etc were gradually improving, decided to opt for Bulldog instead, and cancelled. Bulldog said 3 months to deliver, and Be came back and (on prompting) offered some free time for the problems, and said they could deliver within a couple of weeks once a new MAC code was supplied.
They then phoned me to keep checking for a MAC code (which they'd never done before... i'd had to phone them), and once I got my existing provider (F2S, whose support has really gone downhill in my opinion, they had been really good initially) to give me a new MAC code, Be quickly processed it and got a date, the box arrived on the expected day, the service was enabled on the right day, the following day I had a 'feedback request' from them to ask if everything was OK.
Since the speeds I was getting were in the 6mbit mark (which is probably about as fast as I need for the time being, and over 1mbit upstream compared to the max of 1.3, which is more important to me), I sent the stats the bebox was giving and asked for some feedback.
They responded fairly promptly giving my line distance, and what the expected speed range would be (so I established at 3km from the exchange I'm not getting much better than that), but all in all they've completely turned it round on the service front.
Before: 30+ minutes holding to get through to someone, who'd promise to phone you back and wouldn't, no response to emails or tickets
After: Quickly through to someone, did get calls back, did get responses to tickets.
In the space of now 3 months, they've come a long way - hence I've updated my review on ISPReview to give them a few more points.
If anyone does decide to go for Be, pm me and I'll get an invite to you offering a free months service... I doubt you'll get that close to 24mbit unless you are very close to an exchange, but so far I'm not too disappointed with the improvements in service efforts.

I'm on F2S uncapped and its supposed to be upto 8mb but I sync at 4mb and recently ~3mb...frequent drops, lags a lot too ffs. £24.99 for complete crap...but I can't find anywhere cheaper or more reliable to go cos Zen costs way too much!
