the Xbox 360 is very very easy to "crack" as their copy protection is held in the firmware on the DVD reader. It has been "cracked" for some time now. What makes the XBox 360 not work cracking is the fact that they fail after 11 months and need to be RMAd.
Vista is a horrible platform at the moment. I use Ultimate for my media centre and its a pain to get setup with codec's, drivers etc. I would hate to have to game on it. A recent article in CPC mag showed that only STALKER had better fps on Vista all other games where way below par on Vista.
I am not Microsoft's biggest fan as I work in IT and networking and their software is a pain and very expensive but I will say this. XP was based on a tried and tested platform so it had less problems on day 1 than Vista but if anyone used NT4 they will know that it was worse than Vista when it was first made public.
One worrying fact seems to be that most companies allow their paying public test their software. Look at Valve and CS:S, its never been out of BETA in my eyes but I have paid for it. Vista is the same, the people who buy it within the first year are really testing it for Microsoft and giving them money to do it.
