Yes, just plug it in, it will only go in one way and dont worry about the extra 4 pins for now

Ok so i put in a 400w psu and it did pritty much the same thing. So can we sya its not the psu ?

I have also tired both sticks of ram in every slot.

The cpu is seated as the instructions say and im guessing it dosnt matter which way the heatsink/fan attatch to it? And the fans connected to the fan slot.

Ummmm Checked the jumpers as the manual say and they are all rite

    So im stuck.

Would the gx card be an issue? Its strange

Take out the cpu and get a torch and check the pins in the cpu socket to see if there are any bent ones.

And I still say take it out of the case and make sure the mobo isn't shorting.

Its very possible that it is the PSU/motherboard, as outlined in those threads. The only way to know, is to either borrow a PSU, buy a different PSU and return the Hiper, or get onto the place where you bought it from and link them to that thread.

ok cool. I dont know anyone with a spare psu so i will prob goto the local comp repair place and get them to run it.

Is it worth going for something like a 600w ?

Go for a decent branded PSU. You dont need anything huge really.

The Corsair 520/620w seem to be the most popular at the moment.

Personally, I wouldnt buy anything from overclockers.

Something like this for a decent modular one, or the OCZ from specialtech.

Theres loads more, but I'm not sure how much you want to spend.
