I actually thought hard about watercooling... My friend has a really amazing watercooling setup, although I think it cost him 200 quid. But this cooler and fan I just bought cost me about £60 so I'm over quarter of the way there already So I did consider just biting the bullet and getting water cooling.
But I didn't £200 is just a bit too much for me to justify, and I'm really happy with my PC apart from the CPU temps. The entire PC is almost silent, because there are just two case fans, and they are the Sharkoon 1000s which are fantastic. The 8800GTX seems to be silent surprisingly, and the Corsair HX620W PSU is silent too. So the only thing that really makes any noise is the CPU fan. So I figured if £60 will get me some good temperatures on that for a change, and yet still stay quiet, I'll be very happy
It couldn't come at a better time too... I've started playing Neverwinter Nights 2, and for some reason it pushes the CPU more than any other game I've ever played. When its warm in here, the temps are hovering around 59C while I'm playing it :O So I can't wait to fit this cooler on monday.
