    C2D e6600 overclocking on stock cooling

    I know this sounds like a very bad idea, but is this achievable safely ?

    I pushed mine to 2.8Ghz but the temps got a bit toasty for my liking.

    Running @ 3.2Ghz ATM with a modified Zalman/Arctic hybrid

    Depends on your cpu mate, if its one of the few that go high with not much extra voltage, then youll be fine, if not, you'll just have to take it easy.

    With summer looming, it might be a good idea to grab a half decent heatsink.

    ive pushed my 6300 to 2.8ghz on a stock cooler
    pands.goggles
