Youtube - full screen not working?

Hi Guys,

Hoping you can help, I built a media PC for the family at xmas... all running great, loads of music and photos on there now and everyone likes it.

Only thing I'm having issues with is Youtube in full screen mode. It's fine in a window, but when you expand it just... turns half the screen white and half the screen grey - cut from corner to corner.

The GPU is a 512Mb Sapphire HD2400PRO.

Motherboard is an Asus P5GC-MX, C2D, 2GB Corsair.

It's using a DVI to HDMI lead, which displays DVDs and AVI content fine... just not youtube. OS is Vista 64Bit.

Any ideas?

is it *just* youtube, or is it other flash-based things, ie dailymotion etc...

what version of flash are you running? is there an update available?

Appears to be all flash-based things ( just tried dailymotion and the same thing happens )

Can't download a later version... been onto the Flash website and it installs everything, I get the movie it plays when it's finished and all appears to be okay there.

might've found a fix:

1. Right-click in the standard youtube video window (non-full
screen).
2. Choose 'Settings...' from the Flash Player's pop-up menu.
3. Uncheck the 'Enable Hardware Acceleration'
4. Click 'Close'.

I always thought I was fairly good at hunting down silly issues like this, but I couldn't find anything and I spent a fair chunk of time on it, so well played!

Can't believe that's been on my list to do since xmas and you solved it in no time...!

haha, good stuff, i guess you'll have to live without the 2D acceleration until adobe/ati come up with a fix for the problem glad its sorted tho!
