Good question I too would be interested to know.
I rebuilt my machine yesterday and my current 4GB GeIL Ultra PC6400 sticks also came in a 5.6. Due a rebuild next month of daughters machine I will be donating this memory to her and will be on the look out for new RAM. Probably Corsair.
I have 4GB corsair 667MHz and get 5.9. I wouldnt bother with the vista ratings tho, they dont mean much.
hmm could it be something to do with it being 2 x 2 or with it not being 1:1 with the processor fsb?

does it really matter to anyone what ratings on vista are?
yes because i spent every penny i had on this pc, and i still have time to change the ram if i am not happy with it
Use something like PCMark to bench it then
Vista rating is weird...before when i had 2 x 1gb sticks in, i was getting a score of 5.8, then when i put in another 2 sticks to bring it up to 4gb, score is now 5.5 :-\ exactly same type of ram (just maybe a newer revision as heat spreader are a lil different).
I am guessing its 5.9... Vista ratings are just like benchmarks... except they are designed for those who don't know a lot about PCs
my 667 mhz Kingston value sticks, OC'd to 856Mhz give 5.9

5.9 is the highest, i have 5.9 for everything apart from ram
Overclock the ram, if this effects your e-peen that much
hmm, overclock, well out of the box although the ram was 4 4 4 12 it ran at 5 5 5 18 for some reason, i changed this, but now what do i do? I have an Asus p5K
