    Problems with overclocking!

    This is most certain a very stupid question, but here goes:

    I have a Intel E6850 CPU, Asus P5K MB, Geforce 8800 GTS and some Crucial 6400 DDR2 800hmz ram ( 5-5-5-12 )

    I've been reading the newbie guides for overclocking but I just can't seem to get this FSB : DRAM thing at 1:1. According to my CPU-Z it is always at 5:6.

    Here are some CPU-Z screens ;

    At the moment the FSB is at 333 in the bios. I just tryed to follow the guide point by point but no luck :/
    My ram is supposed to run 800hmz 5-5-5-12 1.9v standard, so what should I set FSB to in the bios to make this 1:1 thing ?

    EDIT;
    I just got my 1:1 thing to work I set my FSB to 400 and changed the RAM mhz back to 800, CPU is clocked up to 3.6ghz and as unstable as you can get it..

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Problems with overclocking!

    That CPU should be ok at 3.6GHz, try giving it a little more juice, change the voltage to the CPU cores one notch at a time to see if it improves your stability. Up to 1.4V should be fine, but keep an eye on temps at the same time.

    Re: Problems with overclocking!

    Ok, my cpu is now at 3.6ghz, 35-40 degrees idle and the cpu voltage is at 1.4 but whenever I use TAT and press the workload level button it crashes and restarts.. Should I increase the voltage or would that damage the cpu ?

    EDIT; I upped the voltage one notch, but I get an error after 3 seconds in Orthos.. Should I keep upping the voltage, or ?
