LOL! If I could afford it I would!

(I know, you're thinking I can afford the other stuff so why not a £40-£50 CPU?) Well, I get paid on the 25th...

Nothing wrong with a Tbird! I've got a 1ghz Tbird overclocked to a whole 1400mhz, yet I can play most things with an acceptable frame rate. Games these days aren't about CPU, it's GPU that counts.

    Erm, nope
Your chances of getting a second hand XP2500 are about as good as my chances of finding an unabused Cav Turbo

    LOL oh dear

Get yourself a 2500 Barton or something mate, unleash the full power of that graphics card. Me going from a 1.3 Duron to my 2400+ made a huge difference, and that was with an ECS K7S5A and my GF4 MX440

You obviousy have never tried to play Planetside!!!! Goes all bitchy if you've got anything less than a 2500+ speed Oh and it needs 1.5 - 2 gig of ram in order not to page to the swap file.....

Are you still playing Quake2 man? Ill agree that that doesnt need a good spec PC

Err I'm playing LOMAC, which is argueably one of the most spec hungry games available at the moment. Runs like a dream for me.
