help me choose a new Mobo!

I have an asus A7N8X deluxe and its driving me mad so I want to change. budget is about £50. I'm going to veer away from the buggy nforce2's...more trouble than they're worth.
I have Athlon 2100 and 2x256 of 2100 which I'd like to run dual channel if possible.
so far I've been looking at the MSI KT4 AV-L and Abit KV7 as these come with LAN and USB2 etc...but don't know about dual channel possibility
if you know of better any help would be great
    cheers

Ha! I've got 3 of those "buggy" nforce2s here & ordered a 4th last night
    (2x NF7-S V2.0, 1x Soltek 75FRN2-L & a DFI Infinity on the way)

    I love them, great boards

I understand you wanting to get rid of that board cos the bios keeps killing itself but dont give up on the nforce2s. Just get an NF7-S instead like I did

hmmm...well, just lost a bit of faith in them really. my 'ikkle bro's is and nforce 1 and it works better, faster and more stable despite the fact he's running a slower cpu and less ram...
think my board is bit poo tbh. constantly crashing. I dunno. sometimes i wish I never upgraded all the bits on this machine and just gone out and bought a whole new one. less stressful. ah yeah, this hunk of metal decided to crash and not even start when I had to write out my thesis for uni. work... apply sledge-hammer here!...

if you've checked for spyware & viruses & run memtest then just RMA the board. They are bloody good when they work.

I think you've just been unlucky and got a duff one, go get an nf7-s 2.0 if you've had enough of the asus, nforce2 really is one of the best solutions.

You won't get an NF7-S V2.0 new for £50 but you will get an NF7 V2.0 (doesn't have SATA, 1394 or Soundstorm of the NF7-S or the A7N8X de Luxe)

You wont get a board anywhere near as good as an Asus A7N8X Deluxe for £50. If your board is giving you problems, RMA it, the A7N8X Deluxe and the NF7-S are two of the best AMD boards out there, so fi your board is less than impressive, its the individual board, not the whole NForce2 thing.

And if you do 'veer away from the NForce2s' you will end up with an inferior board, unless you veer into Pentium boards or 64bit boards.

You find a better board than an Asus A7N8X Deluxe on a budget of £50 and with it not being NForce2, and I'll buy it for you myself.

(I won't, of course, but you get the point)

Had an A7N8X del gold and a Nf7Sv2.0 - never had a problem with either board but found the nforce drivers a bit buggy - try using the original nvidia drivers as some of the later ones caused me problems
