I keep looking at Hard Disks and I don't need one.

I keep looking at excessive storeage solutions...and I dont need it.
I have plenty of space, but I keep looking! What's up with me? Do you lot do it too?

LOL .. same here man! I recently ran out of space, and I got myself a WD6400AAKS but I can't stop thinking about going in Raid 0 with another one! Storage Fetish .. maybe its the thought that the prices keep coming down and eventually it wil hit a sweet spot such that you can't resist scrambling for your cc and spending hard-earned cash on what seems like the best deal mankind has ever seen to be.

I know the feeling dude. I have dreams of a NAS box with something ridiculous like 10 x 1TB drives in it... I've only got about 600Gb worth of files but I still want it!

I have the same problem with RAM. There's no saving me.

Well, with the cost of HDD space being so low, why not spoil yourself?! You can pick up 1TB drives for around the £100 mark now. I'm still waiting for BD media to come down a bit, then I can store safely on that.

I have 4TB in my HTPC - 2x750gb and 5x500gb drives. I have a newly built NAS machine hooked up to my 24" 1080p bedroom tv (a monitor in fact) which only has a 500gb drive in it, but has the capacity for 5 or so in the current case. I just bought anotherr 750gb drive too, which will eventually go into one of my XBMC modded Xbox 1's.

That's ignoring all the other drives in the pcs in the flat... And the fact that I bought a 120gb Western Digital drive to mod and put into my 360, even though I've never used more than 3 or 4gb of space on that.

I have aswell and have no idea why.

I use 2 x 500GB (RAID 0) HDDs in my PC then i have just ordered 6 x 250 External Drives.
The 1TB i have in my PC still has 800mb+ left

Know exactly what you mean, just bought a cheap TS-ProII 1Tb version with 4x250Gb drives in it, have already ordered 4x500Gb drives for it...

Is it bad that I already have 1x 2Tb NAS?

that's how it starts you see, you start off small, with good intentions to solve a simple storage issue and then, before long, it begins to grow... and grow... and grow....

4 x 320GB drives in a RAID 5 array (Contains Vista, apps and documents)
200GB Drive for swap files and temp files
200GB Drive for downloads I want to keep
200GB Drive for Windows XP
200GB Drive for OSX
320GB Drive for usenet temp/download area

And I have 2 x 1TB drives arriving any day >.<

I have the same problem with RAM. There's no saving me.

I share this RAM fetish. I have 20GB of DDR2 and have no idea why..... I don't even have Vista 64 installed yet!!!!!!

Used up my 1TB, need to get more ... I keep looking, but havent pulled the trigger yet.

But in a few months, when I move home I am going get myself a proper server - will load that up with around 2TB atleast.

Zak am the same, I bought a 300Gb Ext HD, more then enough.

Then I saw two more cheaper ones..decided to buy them so I have about 900Gb external drive storage which I dont need and I keep looking for more storage LOL

Storage is no exception.
I don't even need all this space, yet I'm still eyeing up newer drives like the 640GB WD
