    Re: CPU clock speed

I got it on the 16th May 2008.

I've just increased the volts by 0.1 and the memtest is running fine atm with no errors - around 10% of two lots of 1445MB have been covered.

    Re: CPU clock speed

Keep running until it covers 300% without error, then you know your memory is fine

I've only ever used the windows based test and it works 100% Although there is nothing wrong with the .iso version it isn't any better, you need windows stability not just hardware and the windows version does both.

yeah but it having failed in the windows one, we need to rule out the O/S causing problems and see if it is hardware based.....

    Re: CPU clock speed

I guess but I'd only do that after upping the voltages of the DIMMs and motherboard first and testing in windows. I haven't come across a situation where windows was causing the errors yet but the boot disk is a backup for when that does occur.

That's just the way I do it anyway.
