    Bloody hell!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really didnt expect it to be so cheap so soon.
I also VERY glad i didnt buy one They have only been around for about 2 months havent they?
I have never seen nVidia get stiffed in such a dramatic fashion before.

Anyway, im just praying now that if they drop further, they wont be in stock

(Look at Ebyuer....the 8800GTS 640mb is £50 dearer than that....i somehow doubt they will sell it)

Dont worry...i will buy one for Earl Grey......(i just have to hold out for 2 years until they are sub £20 )

    Pick me Pick me!!!

Although I wouldn't expect Blitzen to buy Earl a GFX... sure he said he would but proving him wrong would be enough for me, be a bit harsh to force him to cough up £125.

Still funny how things turned out with ATI finally living up to the hype and nVidia taking a hit because of it. They must be out by millions with compensation for all there partners from the price cuts.

Good times ahead for the consumer methinks.

Anywho, I'm currently putting together a system and I only had a ATI 2400 pro to put in it; I reckon a 8400gs would be a better card for my system. Fingers crossed that I am the random guy

I REALLY hope he does prove me wrong (its looking very likely).

If there is a performance war between nVidia and ATi then there is only 1 winner and thats the consumer.

The days of nVidia TOTALLY dominating the market have all but gone for the time being so we might actually start seeing more realistic product prices now.

The 8800GT was a prime example. That was never ever a £200 card. If ATI had anything even almost viable to compete with it on release, the 8800GT wouldve opened on release at no more than £120.

    Just rememebr though
If this all turns on ATI's favour then we have nothing to gain.

Sadly, this isn't happening with AMD vs Intel.

Don't get me wrong, I am very happy with C2D, but a price war couldn't hurt

AMD are having to practically give the Phenom away, and they still can't find buyers. They need to do something fast (pun intended).

Can someone ban PenguinJim for posting Blitzen's "offer" in the Current Bargains thread causing Blitzen to get spammed to hell and about half the country's teenage geeks to be heartbroken when they realised it was all a load of tosh?
