What makes you think this couldn't be done with USB keyboards?.. Or hasn't been done already with CMOS 'recall' functions by power cycling or buttons (which can be conveniently placed on the rear I/O since there's actually space)?

The fact that you're *forced* to keep and plug in a PS/2 keyboard just to fix your CMOS settings isn't a convenience, it's a system inadequacy.
