use printscr key (whole screen capture) or Alt & Printscr to grab the active screen and pop it in email to... p@brittech.co.uk

i think they just don't want you to report any errors you get if you have an overclocked processor or memory i think, i found pifast to be a useful initial test of stability of an overclock, not sure why your getting that at the end thoughOriginally Posted by jack

Indeed what was seen is an error message to say it had failed, and as such
if it had failed on non overclocked Pc the program makers would except error
reports in case its a programming issue.
I suspect in this case his PC is over the stability limit
how is that mobile chip working out for you?

Only tested with a std heatsink and std white therm paste
Boots into windows fine @ 2378 @ 1.85V but fails pifast
half way through.
Temps are to high @ mo i.e. idling at 44deg's not sure what it was
getting to during Pifast and i notice aft taking heatsink off that it had
poor contact as well.
But this is 1st chip I've had to get booted into windows over 2350 @ 1.85v
last time I hit that it was some good xp2100 my Bartons2500s never got near 2350.
Gets its first taste of the Prommy later today
Reinstalled my Vcore mod on my asus A7N8X dlx as a wire had broken
off and just prepping system. Just finished a mod to the mounting plate
of the prommy kit to get a better chip pressure in hope that the eGraf Carbon
TIM I have is any good, under the right pressure is 2x times better
than Arctic Silver in its thermal transfer. Just have to tweak 12V line next
on the Turbo Cool 510DLX Power PC and Cooling PSU I got.
Then hopefully its all go for is 1st sub Zero test
Thanks for getting my score up so quick
I made a typo on the submission though the chip is an IQYHA 0401
Sorry
What does PiFast actually use to calculate this speed? Is the FSB the most deciding factor or the memory speed/timings? Does clock speed make the most difference or is it a combination of all these?
Reason I ask is coz I get 63 something and that's pretty lame considering my setup. What can I do to speed up my PC more?
Cheers.
