New System - Advice on spec?

Well, Looks like the study will be built in the middle of November, so I'll be picking up the parts about then! Currently leaning towards:

Q9550
Asus Rampage Formula
4 x 2GB DDR2
2 x Radeon 4870 1GB OC (if they exist by this time!)
3 x 24" or 22" Monitor
Tagan 900W PSU (its only about 10 pound more than the 700W, and will give me more headroom in future)
150gb Raptor Vista Drive (have it already)
2 x 320GB (Raid 0) for programs (or maybe just a single one, its just that I have a load lieing around!)
2 x 1.5TB (Raid 1) for data (outer, fast partition for HD video)

Very nice specification Kata, bit of a dream specification, lemme guess, your putting it in a £250 case from Silverstone with a £400 watercooling kit ^_^

Heh - its a Thermaltake Armor LCS that I got last year, was about 180 including the water cooling (I think). Seems to be decent quality, and certainly more than meets my needs!

Well, just an update for anyone who cares

I now have all the components with the exception of the data hard drives.

Sitting in my cupboard, waiting to be assembled, is:

Q9650
Rampage Formula
8GB DDR 1066
2 x Sapphire Radeon HD4870 1GB (with, it turns out, the TOXIC style cooler as standard, wahey!)
300GB Velociraptor
Tagan 900W PSU
3 x Dell Ultrasharp 24" Monitors

Swiftech based CPU water loop.

At some point I'll add a pair of 1.5TB drives in RAID1 for data. No hurry though, will wait until prices drop!

My current project is a bit of very basic modding to secure the radiator into the case, I'll update as I go

The only reason I have held off on the build is that I currently have none of the stuff I need to mount the radiator, and an appartment with no furniture other than a bed. I'm waiting until I have a desk and some tools
