    Clip on microphones

I've just invested in a pair of Sennheiser HD555 headphones, but would like a clip-on mic to use with them (for skype etc). Can anyone reccommend a decent microphone (around £20) that would give good clarity? I've heard good things about the Zalman ZM-MIC1, though for the life of me can't find anyone in the UK selling them.

I really don't want to go for a desktop mic solution, as they get in the way and I have a flight sim setup that doesn't afford much desk space. At the moment i'm sufficing with my old creative fatalities hung around my neck with the mic sticking up infront of my face, so I'd appreciate some reccomendations if anyone has any ideas!

    Cheers

    Re: Clip on microphones

I fitted a Plantronics audio 300 to my Skullcandy headphones using the desktop mount provided in their bundle, after heating and twisting the boom tube to shape. Not the situation you're after but gets a decent mic on decent headphones.

Or there's this for a fiver from play.

    Re: Clip on microphones

Thanks very much folks - i've gone for the zalman from thecoolingshop. Incidentally, I found a few videos on youtube from a guy who uses one, and the quality sounds very good.

    Re: Clip on microphones

I've got that mic too, it's a very good mic but the clip on things that run along the wire to attach it to the headphone wire suck, i had to tape the two wires together. My wires also twist a lot too, but apart from those two minor annoyances, i love my hd555s and zalman mic

    Re: Clip on microphones

I got an email today from thecoolingshop informing me that they are 'having trouble sourcing the product', so were cancelling my order. Does anyone have any idea where else I could get one from?

There's ebay, but they all seem to be coming from abroad, with shipping costs worth 4 or 5 microphones!

As BigFatCat said, theres the Elara from play.com...anyone heard anything good/bad about these?
