Because it only has PCIE v1 so you are potentially losing 2% performance in games!
Yes that is right in some cases you may be loosing a whole frame per second.
In case people are in any doubt this post is heavily laced with sarcasm
It took you 4 months to buy/build your pc? o_O
Also, thinking about it, even with the current economy, if you bought all of those parts now, you probably would have paid less.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Nope the *3* chipsets (so P35, G33 etc.) only support PCIE v1 (with the notable exception of the X38) obviously still at 16x but that is half the bandwidth of PCIE v2 16x.
It really is not an issue though like I said in the most extreme of cases you might lose 2% performance.
I would take 2 or 3 budget/overclocking bang for buck boards/ any day of the week, the op has hit "4ghz overclock" on a budget board, to which already stated that he will be upgrading in the future. From my own point of view, psu/case/ram(as per hd/optical) are the most important, they can usually be carried over to the next upgrade/new build. My akasa eclipse/corsair 620 has played host to a whole plethora of boards, to name a recent few
Biostar TForce 560 A2+ £33
Biostar NF61S Micro AM2 SE £10 clearance
Gigabyte - GA-EP31-DS3L £41
Biostar TA790GX A2+ £61
In the past it has also housed MSI - P6N SLI-FI £65/MSI - P35 Neo2 - FR £67 and more
currently housing my Biostar TF8200 A2+ £51 with my am2 4400@3450 there are some cracking bang for buck boards out there, great fun also
cheers
